Description
GARBE let this logistics property in the Falkensee industrial area while it was still under construction. The tenant is PicNic, an online supermarket that delivers groceries to your home free of charge using e-cars. The new location for the Berlin and Potsdam area supports the company’s planned expansion into all regions of Germany.
Sustainability measures
The logistics building also meets the criteria of the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). Extensive species protection measures were implemented, including a replacement habitat for the relocation of sand lizards and a noise barrier with greenery on both sides. In addition, a full-surface photovoltaic system was installed on the roof for electricity production and intensive use of e-mobility.
