GARBE Coswig
Project description
GARBE developed this brownfield project on the site of a former pulp mill. An industrial area that had been abandoned for decades and used as a landfill site has been transformed into a modern logistics location. In the future, contract logistics services for customers in the high-tech, industrial, consumer goods, automotive, and retail sectors will be handled here.
The client and users are pleased to have more space in a fire compartment than usual: fabrikon realized a fire compartment size of 11,800 m² by compensating with a roof structure of fire protection class R30.
The project has around 2,000 m² of green façade and a full-surface photovoltaic system for energy generation. The logistics building also meets the Gold Standard criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The fact that GEODIS had already been confirmed as a tenant before the start of construction demonstrates the high demand for modern logistics real estate around Dresden.
