Project description

In the Falkensee industrial park near Berlin, fabrikon built fabrikon modern logistics property for GARBE Industrial Real Estate. The building was fully leased during construction to online supermarket PicNic, which delivers its food orders emission-free using electric vehicles. The new location strengthens regional supply for Berlin and Potsdam and supports the company's nationwide expansion in Germany.

The logistics center meets the criteria for gold certification by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). A full-surface photovoltaic system was installed on the roof to generate electricity and power the e-mobility fleet. In addition, fabrikon implemented fabrikon species protection measures, including the relocation of protected sand lizards and the construction of a green noise barrier. The project in Falkensee thus sends a strong signal for sustainable and future-oriented logistics construction.
