Ground-breaking ceremony for Rudolph Logistics Group's new building project
"This investment by Rudolph Logistik is the foundation for the final expansion of the Ihringshausen-West industrial estate," says Mayor Karsten Schreiber. Numerous jobs will be created. A total of around 120,000 m² of new commercial space will be developed. Numerous inquiries have already been received from other investors, which can now be discussed.
Construction process synchronized
'The preparatory measures for clearing explosive ordnance have been completed, now the earthworks will follow. Over the next few weeks, around 70,000 m³ of soil will be removed from the northern part of the site and replaced in the southern area. "The cut & fill serves as preparation for the deep foundation, which consists of around 22 km of concrete piles. We plan to start building construction in June," explains fabrikon's Alexander Bässe. The underground cavities and tunnels of the former lignite mining area, which make the complex deep foundation necessary, are a challenge on the approximately 46,500 m² site.
The construction work was preceded by an intensive, smooth planning phase, including the preparation of the development plan with the relevant approval authorities.

Planning for the industrial estate began in April 2002 with the decision to draw up a development plan. Ten years later, two plots had been sold. Two new cul-de-sacs were built in 2013 and a further 38 plots were marketed and largely built on in the following years. In 2020/21, the municipality of Fuldatal redeemed the financing with the Hessische Landgesellschaft and received an allocation of 2 million euros from the state of Hesse from the state equalization fund to repay the debt.
