fabrikon fit for the circular economy
Circular economy in logistics construction a good combination
At fabrikon , we fabrikon logistics construction further logistics construction focusing on innovative and sustainable construction methods. This also includes the circularity of our projects. Thanks to their modular design, hall buildings are well suited for the reuse of their components from the outset. The fact that we create BIM models as standard in the planning phase of our projects proved to be a further advantage when Madaster was introduced. The materials, components, and products used in the first fabrikon have already been entered into the material database.
"Madaster offers property owners and other stakeholders the ability to store, manage, enrich and share
data from their properties."
What does the circular economy mean for fabrikon's logistics construction projects?
Project developers can order the recording of their assets in the material register and a building resource passport from fabrikon . They benefit from the automated determination of the environmental impact for the entire life cycle of the building.
Data for the life cycle assessment (LCA), embodied carbon and CO₂ emissions in the use phase are calculated. This data can be used for the preparation of sustainability certifications according to e.g. DGNB, LEED, BREEAM, or compliance with ESG criteria and EU taxonomy.
This results in buildings for which the environmental impact and the degree of circularity ("circularity indicator") are known. The central documentation enables the recycling of components and materials as well as savings on maintenance and disposal.
