From Architectural Model to Implementation
More information about the “der raum” project
A competition, organized and carried out in cooperation with Lichtenberg Gymnasium in Kassel, called for the design of a modular and mobile pavilion. The pavilion is intended to serve as a stage and project space, particularly in connection with this year’s documenta 15 and the school project“Questioning documenta fifteen.”
The “pavillon mobile,” one of two winning designs, was first selected by a jury composed of representatives from the school and the university and then planned in detail by all students involved in the project. The design is characterized by its clean wooden structure, the use of recycled materials, and the possibility of unlimited expansion. Now, four modules are being built on the grounds of Lichtenberg High School, arranged to form a courtyard for interaction and gathering. Here, students, teachers, parents, carpenters, joiners, and other partners in the school community are working hand in hand. fabrikon the construction with materials and expertise.
The next step is to bring the second-place winning design, “Out of the Box,” to life as well. A location for the project is currently being sought.
