Handing over the keys to Rudolph on time
Taking advantage of the proximity
The project was a "home game" for both the client Rudolph Immobilien Verwaltungs GmbH from Gudensberg and the Kassel-based construction company fabrikon . We at fabrikon were able to use this fact for training and further development of our construction methods and employees.
In addition to the building, fabrikon also realized the development of the expansion of the commercial area and the traffic connection to Niedervellmarsche Straße for the municipality of Fuldatal on behalf of Rudolph. Underground cavities and tunnels in a former lignite mining area posed challenges that were overcome through complex deep foundations with a total of 22 km of concrete piles and efficient scheduling. Nevertheless, the project team managed to complete the project on time, which seemed almost impossible at the time.
Sustainable logistics location
The logistics hall with a total gross area of around 26,500 m², divided into three hall sections, is used for an automated small parts and pallet warehouse, among other things. Two crane systems with a load capacity of up to 40 tons are used to load and unload trucks in the weather-protected interior of the hall. A photovoltaic system will generate electricity, while heat generation will be completely fossil-free.
