Logistics site near Dresden starts operations
The internationally active GEODIS Group will move into the multi-user warehouse with 24,500 square meters of space including offices and social rooms. 20 dock levelers and two ground-level gates will provide mainly contract logistics services for customers from the high-tech, industrial, consumer goods, automotive and retail sectors.
A 42,000-square-meter industrial wasteland was revitalized for the new logistics center near Dresden. The entire roof of the hall was equipped with a photovoltaic system and parts of the façade were greened. The property is scheduled to be certified according to the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). In addition, the energy standard according to BEG 55 (formerly KfW55) is being complied with. This already logistics construction a major contribution to energy savings in logistics construction .
