State-of-the-art facility expands the Life Sciences and Healthcare Campus in Florstadt
The new logistics hub features three temperature zones: an ambient zone for 18–25 °C, a refrigerated zone for 2–8 °C, and a frozen zone for –20 °C. A 1,745 m² hazardous materials area has also been established. The entire facility is equipped with a 24/7 security and alarm system.
State-of-the-art and climate-neutral
The logistics center is currently undergoing the certification process for the Gold Standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). A 750 kWp photovoltaic system, heat pumps, and a 320 m² LUBI Wall Solar air system continuously supply the climate-neutral warehouse with environmentally friendly energy.
fabrikon as the general contractor for the project, overseeing everything from planning and construction to building services, and handed the facility over to DHL on a turnkey basis in December 2021.
