Working Together on the Project

Three disciplines—a shared understanding

Even though we’re all working on the same project, each discipline approaches the building from its own perspective. What specific details do structural engineers focus on? What structural constraints does the architectural design impose? And how does Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) fit seamlessly into the overall concept? 

During our joint site walkthrough, we discussed precisely these points of overlap. The direct on-site exchange demonstrated just how closely the various planning efforts are intertwined. Ongoing dialogue that transcends disciplinary boundaries is just as important to the project’s success as experiencing the jointly planned work in reality.

After touring the construction site, we continued on to the Blue Lake. Over finger food, a round of adventure mini-golf, and good conversation, we had time to catch up with one another away from the daily grind of the project. 

Our conclusion: 

Different perspectives aren't an obstacle—they're a strength when we bring them together. Because good planning happens when we work not just alongside each other, but with each other. 🚀
